HOW TO CLEAN CAST IRON COOKWARE
Often when using cast iron, food particles stick to the iron. An easy way to clean cast iron skillets and other cookware is to sprinkle salt in the skillet or pot and, using circular motions, wipe with a damp cloth or paper towel (the cloth is better) until the particles are removed. For more difficult spots, add a small amount of hot water to the salt and scrap spots. Once you have cleaned the pan, use a separate dampened cloth to rinse and scrape out the salt. Thoroughly dry the pan then using a few drops of cooking oil wipe the inside to keep your cast iron oil-cured and free from rusting. Once you have completed this it is ready for the next time you want to use it.
To clean stainless steel cookware, use soap and water to wash out pan. If it does not come perfectly clean, use a non-abrasive like soft scrub to clean with. Never use SOS or Brillo pad or steel wool to clean. Rinse well and dry with a clean soft cloth towel. Your stainless steel cookware will always shine brilliant for you if you treat it correctly.
Before using your baker, soak both the lid and baker in warm water for 15 minutes then place a piece of parchment paper so that it covers the inside of the baker. Place whatever food ingredients over the parchment paper. This reduces the amount of cleaning of your baker. Since the clay is porous, never use soap and water. Instead, try soaking the baker after it has cooled down from the oven in a baking soda bath in your sink. Never place a hot clay baker in cold water or on a cold surface is it will crack. Always wipe the baker dry and store it in a safe place.
